Gender pay gap reporting

The Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 came into force on 6 April 2017. These create a duty on large private sector and voluntary sector employers to publish annual reports on the gender pay gap within their organisations. There are also similar duties on some public sector organisations, under the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties and Public Authorities) Regulations 2017.

This 40-minute video covers the following:

  • Categories of organisations covered by the legislation
  • Which types of employees it covers
  • The data that employers must publish
  • Potential issues employers might face
  • Penalties for non-compliance
  • Whether the legislation is likely to achieve its aims
